Colt Bisley .45 LC #246998
'First Generation' Single action six-shot revolver chambered in .45 Colt, manufactured circa 1903. Introduced in 1894, the Colt Bisley was marketed as a target revolver and it got it's name from the Bisley shooting range in England. Features a blued refinish, 7.5" barrel, blade front sight, 'v' notched rear sight, ejector rod, smooth trigger, wide low profile hammer spur, two-piece black checkered hard rubber grips with Rampant Colt decor. Bore and charge holes are generally clean looking, rifling present, with scattered light pitting. Metal is smooth bright metal including the case color frame with just traces of blue in protected areas like the ejector rod housing. May have been cleaned at some point. Grips are very good with some smoothing of features, right panel turning brown."WHW" lightly scratched on the bottom of the right panel. Action is smooth with tight lock-up. Numbers match on frame, triggerguard, backstrap. Cylinder numbered "7427". Assembly number " 2648" stamped on loading gate. One line barrel address, two line patent dates and 'Rampant Colt' in circle on left frame, crescent ejector rod head. Markings are clear, readable. Not bad for a 122 year old revolver.
NRA Condition-Good. C&R firearm.
