Vintage Colt Bisley manufactured 1907. The accompanying Colt factory letter dated February 28, 2006, confirms configuration and shipment to A. Steinfeld and Company Tucson, Arizona, on June 10, 1907, one of six in the shipment. The features of this revolver are as follows: Reblued finish, 4 3/4" barrel with blade front sight and frame notch rear sight. Two line block letter address on top of the barrel, "(BISLEY MODEL) and 45 COLT", clear, on the left side of the barrel and the left side of the frame is marked with the two-line, three patent dates followed by the circled Rampant Colt. Wide low hammer spur and wide trigger with characteristic "humpback" grip. Matching serial number on frame, trigger guard and bottom of backstrap, and the loading gate is numbered "4691". The left front of the trigger guard is marked with the Colt triangle "VP" proof, and the left rear is marked with the number "6". Fitted with two piece checkered hard rubber grips with the Rampant Colt in an oval at the tops. The bore is very good, strong rifling. Retains approx. 85% finish with some scattered light rust spots/pitting on top of barrel, receiver and back strap, edge wear and a drag line on the cylinder, action is crisp/smooth with tight lock-up, grips are good with some wear, there is more handling wear on the left panel and a chip is missing from the middle of the right grip panel. Markings are clear. The cylinder pin and mainspring are fine. NRA Condition is very good. ***C&R Firearm***.
