Colt Col. Sam Colt Sesquicentennial Commemorative Single Action Army Revolver, #4228SC, .45 Colt cal., 7.5'' barrel, blue/nickel finish, cylinder with engraved Colt Dome and Rampant Colt logo, smooth walnut grips with silver Colt medallions, and standard fixed sights. Left side of barrel with commemorative markings that read ''1814 - Col. Sam Colt Sesquicentennial Model - 1964''. In maroon velvet-lined presentation case with plaque on lid that reads ''One of 5000/Colonel Sam'l Colt/Sesquicentennial Models/1814-1864''. Includes R.L. Wilson's book ''The Arms Collection of Colonel Colt'', Col. Samuel Colt medallion, 12 nickel-plated dummy rounds, and key. Condition is fine overall, with cylinder showing slight toning and moderate dragline. Hammer with discoloration, mostly to right side; triggerguard also with light toning. Grips are like new. Bore is excellent. Case shows scuffs and marks from handling and storage; dustcover to book with fading and tattering to edges. Limited to 4750 mfg'd in 1964. Est.: $900-$1,500.
