WWII era double-action revolver chambered in .38 Special, circa 1942. Approximately 50,000 of these revolvers were manufactured between 1942-1945 for use in Word War II. Has been refinished with chrome or nickel plate. Features a less common 2" barrel, round blade front sight, square notched rear sight, non-shrouded ejector rod, fluted six-shot cylinder, smooth trigger, checkered hammer spur and two-piece checkered brown plastic grips with Rampant Colt motif. Bore is very good condition. Refinish is very good condition, appears thick and solid, with few breaks or chips. Edges of sideplate show rolling off from polishing off gun during refinish. Barrel markings remain readable. The frame has traces of a small flaming bomb proof above the cylinder latch on the left side; Rampant Colt logo is not present. Grips are excellent. Action is smooth with solid lock-up, Includes factory pamphlet. Condition is NRA Very Good as refinished *** C&R Firearm ***
