Colt Model 1877 Thunderer DA revolver, .41 caliber, serial #157423. The revolver is in overall good condition with a 4” barrel. The pistol has gone entirely to a grey patina with no original finish visible. The front sight appears to retain its full height, while the barrel shows moderate pitting and surface erosion. The Colt barrel markings are legible as are the patents. The serial numbers are matching on the frame and butt, while the trigger guard is not. The cylinder pin has likewise been replaced during the period of use. The hard rubber checkered grips feature the Rampant Colt markings and are in overall good condition showing even wear and use. The grips fit well and are free of chips. The action functions but does not rotate the cylinder and requires the attention of a competent gun smith. A nice old Colt manufactured in approximately 1905 according to the serial number. Est.: $350-$700.
