Colt Model 1901 U.S. Army Double Action Revolver, with holster, #157501, .38 Colt cal., 6'' barrel, high polish blue finish, smooth walnut grips, with lanyard loop in butt. Grips, frame and cylinder are RAC inspected. Crane number is mismatched. Mfg'd 1901. In 4th type Rock Island brown leather holster for U.S. .38 revolvers, dated 1905, with ''H.E.K'' and ''C.B.'' inspector markings. (Ref. the book, ''The Model 1911 and Model 1911A1 Military and Commercial Pistols'', page 14, by Joe Poyer.) Condition is fine retaining approx. 85% thinning blue, with most of the losses to right sideplate. Front sight may have been thinned at one point. Grips with light scratches and mild impressions, but clear inspection markings to butts of both panels. Good action, bright bore.
