Mfg'd ca. 1900, originally with full blued finish. Condition is fine, retaining approx. 65% deep Colt blue (missing mainly at gripstraps), with light highpoint wear, spotting to frame sides, most blue in cylinder flutes, deep blue to hammer (with polished sides), and bright fire-blue to trigger. Grips are solid and smooth showing light wear to checkering and designs, and without chips and fit well. Action is smooth and strong; bore is brilliant with light occasional frosting and sharp rifling. This is an exceptional, early Colt military revolver, of which only about 4,600 were produced 120 years ago. Est.: $1,500-$2,500. (C&R/PPT)
