Colt SAA 'Sheriff's Model' .44-40 #SA70180
'Third Generation, P1933' Western style single action revolver chambered in .44-40 Winchester, manufactured in Hartford, Conn circa 1987. The Sheriff’s Model is characterized by the lack of an ejector rod & a shorter barrel, this style of revolver was done to create a simpler, easier-to-carry revolver useful in the Frontier era for short engagements that might not demand quick reloading. Features a bright nickel plated finish, 3" barrel with two line address, blade front sight, square notch rear sight, smooth thin trigger, knurled hammer spur, fluted six-shot cylinder, and two-piece ivory grips with silver Colt medallions. Matching serial numbers are observed full or in part on the frame, front face of the cylinder, on the left side of the backstrap, left side of the trigger guard and on the back of each grip panel (written in marker). Revolver retains nearly all of its original bright nickel plated finish showing no signs of use or wear. Action is crisp with four clicks, the bore is pristine and the genuine ivory grips are excellent with beautiful color & grain. Includes a factory maroon cardboard box with non-matching end label, styrofoam inserts, and literature. Condition is like NRA Perfect in box. ***Modern Firearm***
