Colt Single Action Army .38 WCF SN: 260151
‘First Generation’ Vintage western style single action revolver chambered in .38-40 Winchester, manufactured in Hartford, CT circa 1904. Features a blued & case hardened finish, 4 3/4" barrel with two line address, blade front sight, v-notch rear sight cut into the topstrap, ejector rod with crescent button, fluted six-shot cylinder, case hardened frame with two line patent dates, smooth thin trigger, bordered & underlined knurling on the hammer, and two-piece checkered black hard rubber grips with molded Rampant Colt décor. Matching serial numbers are found on the frame, trigger guard, and backstrap. Revolver retains approximately 30% of its original blued finish showing holster wear, scratches, heavy finish loss on the grip frame and a small amount of scattered oxidation/light rust. The frame and hammer predominately displays an even aged brown patina with small amounts of bright color retained in the protected areas. Action is crisp with three hammer clicks & very good lock-up, the bore is bright with sharp rifling & small amount of light pitting, the markings are crisp, and the hard rubber grips are very good with semi-worn checkering & notches on the bottom (cut into the bottom of the backstrap but overrun to the grips slightly). Condition is near NRA Very Good. ***C&R Firearm***
