Colombian military bolt action service rifle chambered in .30-06 Springfield. This rifle shows Czech origins and was arsenal converted in Bogota, Columbia by Reformado Fabrica de Materials de Guerra circa 1952. Imported by CAI of St. Albans, VT with import marks on the barrel. Features a blued finish, 23.5” barrel, raised inverted ‘v’ front sight, tangent rear sight graduated to 2,000 meters, smooth trigger, swept forward bolt handle, three position safety on the rear of the bolt, internal box magazine with removable floorplate, two barrel bands with bayonet lug on the forward band, thumb & stripper clip guide cuts in the receiver, sling swivels, smooth wood handguard and semi-pistol grip shoulder stock with smooth metal buttplate. The receiver ring is marked “F.15693”, “EJERCITO DE COLOMBIA”/[eagle] in an oval, “R. FAMAGE” & “1952”. The left side of the receive has been scrubbed but there is a faint “ARMAS” & “BRNO” visible. Serial number are mis-matched with matching numbers on the bottom metal & floorplate only. Rifle retains less than 10% of its blued finish with the majority of the metal surfaces displaying a browning patina. Action is sound, the bore shows minor pitting throughout and the wood stocks are good with blemishes & small hairline cracks in the top of the wrist. Condition is NRA Fair. ***C&R Firearm***
