Composite Copy of a Mauser Turkish Police Contact Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol & Holster, #963, 9mm cal., rust blue finish, straw colored small parts, checkered walnut grips, inverted-"V" front sight, fixed rear sight with "V"-notched groove, stock lug, with two (2) aluminum based magazines. Both magazines have been renumbered to match; bases are marked "(Eagle)/63" and the spare magazine is marked "+". Includes brown leather copy of an original Turkish holster, marked on the front with intertwined "TC", "Emniyet Isleri Umum Mudurlugu", and is numbered "56". Holster includes a takedown tool. Pistol is marked with "Mauser Logo" on the toggle and intertwined "TC" on top of the chamber. Right side of the receiver with Turkish police inscription "Emniyet Isleri/Umum Mudurlugu". There are "(Eagle)/63" proofs on right side of the receiver, frame, and left side of the barrel. Parts have been numbered to match, including both magazines. Grips are not numbered. Pistol is in excellent overall condition as professionally upgraded to its current configuration, and refinished, retaining approx. 97% high quality reblued finish, showing light wear at the muzzle and stock lug. Straw colors show mild thinning and toning; approx. 75%-80% remain. Turkish markings, proof marks, etc. are crisp. Grip checkering is primarily crisp. Bore is mirror bright with excellent, well-defined rifling. Holster is good, with mild age cracking throughout, leather remains soft and pliable, and the lifting strap is present. There are " separations to the stitching on both sides of the spine on back of the lid. Overall, an outstanding representative example of an extremely scarce Luger. Est.: $2,500-$3,500. (C&R)
