Converted Smith & Wesson Model 27-2 Double Action Revolver, #N186359, converted to .44 S&W Special using what appears to be a factory 6.5'' pinned barrel, possibly from a S&W model 24, with a 3-screw frame, blue finish, wide color case hardened target hammer and trigger, factory checkered square butt Goncalo alves target grips with S&W medallions, pinned red ramp front sight and micrometer click adjustable rear sight. Top of frame with fine factory checkering; barrel is ribbed. All of the factory lettering has been highlighted in gold. Most likely a 60's or 70's conversion. In fine overall condition as modified. Approx. 96%-97% blue remains; finish on the barrel and frame appears to be factory; cylinder is light plum colored and appears to have been redone some time ago. Metal with general micro-scratching; cylinder with a moderate thin index line. Grips show only normal slight handling marks with sharp unmarred checkering; right grip and back edge of the left grip are almost blonde in color, most likely from prolonged exposure. Majority of the deep and rich case colors remain with right side of trigger showing a little fading. Action is crisp with a smooth hammer and trigger; fine bore. Overall what looks like a nice shooter grade revolver. Est.: $350-$550. (Modern)(Not available to Calif. residents.)(Sierra Sid's Casino, Sparks, NV.)
