Copy of 1808 India Pattern Brown Bess Flintlock Musket, #NVSN, .75 cal., 39" smoothbore barrel, bright finish, hardwood stock with brass forend cap, rammer pipes, trigger guard, and buttplate. Wide blade front sight/bayonet mounting bar, no rear sight. Includes a square iron rammer. Musket is a copy, likely made in India or Nepal. Lockplate tail is marked with a small "XO" stamp, and there are three replica proof and view stamps on left side of the barrel at the breech. There is also a faint stamp on right side of the buttstock. Condition overall is good; metal has been cleaned bright and now shows toning and old patina. Stock is in fair condition, there is a pin repaired crack to the right side of the wrist behind the receiver tang, and a repaired separation to the left side forend at the barrel channel. The hammer operates smoothly and holds on the half and full-cock. Bore is dark with visible surface rust. Est.: $300-$500. (Antique)
