SIDELOCK EJECTOR GAME SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 ga. 2 3/4". S# 214415 (1973). The 27 3/4" chopperlump bbls. are gold inlaid "Victor Saraqueta S.A. (EIBAR)" and with "VS" crowned running rabbit logo on matted game rib. Rear portions of bbls. are deep chisel engraved with a field of deep scrolls and four leaf clovers surrounding game scenes; flying duck on left and pheasant on right. Bbl. flats are stamped with 1973 Spanish Nitro proofs for 2 3/4" chambers. Coin finished sidelock action features non automatic safety, hidden 3rd fastener, bushed strikers, raised rib tumbler end cocking indicators, and double triggers (front articulated). Action and lockplates are engraved with scroll and clover matching that which is on bbl. surrounding game and dog scenes with two pointers intent on a pair of grouse on front of left lockplate and two hounds chasing a rabbit on right. Bottom of action depicts two more hounds. Blued top lever with matching scroll has pierced thumbpiece and trigger guard has a pair of ducks on bow. Nicely marbled European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14 5/8" over skipline checkered wood butt and features drop points and point pattern grip checkering. Matching semi-beavertail ejector forend has Anson release. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter: R .726", L .727". Restriction: R .003" (IC), L .018" (MOD). Min. Wall Thickness: R .027", L .022". CONDITION: exceptionally fine, very close to "as new" with only a few minor marks in wood finish and some old cleaning on right bbl. above forend, leaving some frosting. Bores are bright and shiny.
