SHOTGUN. Cal. 16 Ga. 2 9/16". S# 303122. Bbls. no. 4 struck 28" are fitted with matted game rib and are marked with Chromox Steel info and Philadelphia Fox address on tops. Bbl. flats are stamped with serial number and Fox proof. Case hardened small size Fox action with rotary bolt features automatic safety and double triggers. Action is engraved with 80% coverage large shaded acanthus in usual “Grade A” style. “ANSLEY H. FOX” is on ribbon on each side of action. Trigger guard has serial number on tang. Capped pistol grip buttstock of nicely figured American walnut measures 14 1/2" over ribbed hard rubber buttplate. Widely spaced point pattern checkering is at grip. Matching slim splinter ejector forend has Deeley type release and patent dates on iron. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter: R .661", L .661. Restriction: R .011" (IC), L .024" (MOD). Min. Wall Thickness: R .032", L .030". STOCK: DAH: 3". DAC: 1 3/4". LOP: 14 1/2". CAST: neutral. WEIGHT: 5 lb. 15 oz. CONDITION: fine as partially refurbished. Bbls. with nearly all of a fair quality reblue. Action retains most of its original case hardening color which is turning to gray brown around bottom. Stocks retain most of an old oil refinish with some light marks, buttstock a correct style replacement, checkering poorly cut on buttstock, forend appears original. Bores are bright and shiny.
