ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. S# 832987. Bbl. 24" w/ star gauge. Bbl. marked behind front sight "SA" flaming bomb & "3-33". Rifle features the headless cocking piece & reversed safety w/ a polished nickel steel bolt marked "MS" at top of handle. Bolt has S# added w/ correct electric pencil markings. Action has been polished inside for smoother operation. Mag. follower is beveled to allow bolt to close w/ cutoff in either position. Late production ladder rear sight w/ volley notch. Flat windage knob marked "R". Dished elevation knob. Front sight moveable base has been replaced w/ Lyman Globe Target front sight for interchangeable inserts. Rifle has been fitted w/ Lyman 48 rear sight. The slide is graduated to 125 points. Sight is additionally equipped w/ Parker Hale screw in adj. aperture peep. S Type walnut stock set. Stock marked under grip w/ faint circle "P" proof & marked forward of trigger guard w/ 4 faint boxed & encircled assembly numbers. Coarse checkered steel buttplate w/out trap. Boyt military leather sling. Rear sight details. Markings each end of trigger guard. CONDITION: stock set has pleasing appearance w/ professional restorative refinish w/ scattered tiny handling marks. Metal has 75% original thinning blue finish w/ light wear.
