DWM 1914 ARTILLERY LUGER SEMI-AUTO PISTOL.
Cal. 9mm Luger. S# 3438m. Bbl. 8" w/ standard fin shaped front sight & artillery rear; both w/out fine tuned features. Chamber dated 1917; approx. 90,000 mfg., total 1914-1918 production of 155,000. All matching numbers including firing pin & left grip; right not readable. Strawed sm. parts & appropriate internal areas are in the white. MAGS: 3 tin plated 8 rd. w/ wood bases TOTAL. 1 Good plus w/ minimal body finish loss; base numbered 2390o w/ "+" & crown proof. 2 Poor to fair w/ noticeably oxidized bodies & new replacement wood bases having "Germany" export marks. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 1 good to very good artillery holster rig w/ fading cracked appearance to latch strap. Includes cleaning rod w/ bbl. shaped handle; circular disks on cleaning rod flap are present & solid. Good shoulder straps w/ minimal wear. Underside of flap has 2 boxed ink stampings; one appears "AR60" & the other "BA.IX". Fair loading tool w/ crown "G" proof; back of shoulder stock w/ crown "S" proof. Matching numbered attachment iron w/ very good appearance including strawed lever. Leather in cap has detached inner portion due to broken stitching; back edge of stock has damage from being struck by bullet (appear 30 cal.) leaving somewhat neat circle at edge & as bullet traversed to midpoint of back, lg. chip blown out. Plus an additional artillery holster modified for conventional pistol. Cut & capped end w/ open cleaning rod channel. Missing exposed portion of lift strap; includes flap strap but detached as is front loop on flap. Disks on cleaning rod flap have been reattached. Underside of flap dated 1915 & L. Ritgen makers stamp. Overall fair appearance. Also includes a 32 rd. snail drum assembly w/ dust cover. Both halves numbered 412129 plus "B" over "N" proofs. Second issue Type II w/ reinforcement rings & stamped winder. Drum in very good appearing condition but dust cover has minimal paint remaining. Near excellent appearing drum loading tool; well-made w/ no markings (possible reproduction). CONDITION: especially nice appearing as arsenal reconditioned having matching numbered replacement bbl. w/ very good finish. All markings well preserved & sharp w/ fading of chamber date. Very good straw colors w/ minimal fading. Light impact mark on back right edge of receiver ear. Very good dark grips w/ minimal handling wear. Exceptional near excellent bore. (20-472/NW).
