DWM 1920 COMMERCIAL LUGER SEMI-AUTO PISTOL.

Cal. 30 Luger. S# 3548n. Bbl. 4" w/ fin shaped front sight blade. Matching numbers on sideplate, takedown lever (blued) & trigger. Extractor numbered 11; left grip numbered 23; right 41. Rear of frame w/ "GERMANY" export mark. Polished bright safety lever & mag. latch having nickeled appearance. Exceptional straw colors for trigger & ejector. Top edge of sideplate & breech block assembly have soft matte appearance; all other metal surfaces w/ high polish appearing somewhat brighter than normal German export finish. Numerous crown N commercial proofs. MAGS: 2 plated 8 rd. w/ unmarked wood bases; very good w/ minimal staining & fair w/ patina appearance plus wood base split so missing left knob. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: good brown flap holster w/ buckle & strap retention. Front of flap w/ pointed marks & scratched combination of letters & numerals that might be unit markings. Underside of flap inked "TFC" over stamped "HORMANN & SOHN" over unreadable town plus dated 1916. Under side of flap pencil marked "M. O'Neill". Original loading tool w/ "M" over anchor. CONDITION: about near excellent appearance as refinished w/ faded area at top right rear of frame. Brighter than normal German refinish w/ slight loss of edge sharpness & unusual addition of matte sections. Very good left grip w/ light hand wear; similar right w/ occasional slightly damaged diamond top. Near excellent bore. PROVENANCE: Collection of Dr. John Persing. (21-2612/NW). CURIO. $700-1,000.
