DWM CUSTOM LUGER CARBINE PISTOL.

Cal. 9mm Luger. S# 6163c. Bbl. 18 7/8" w/ artillery style banded base having fin shaped sight blade; missing windage screw. Scope base w/ Herter’s 2x21 crosshair reticle Winchester marked pistol scope. Mfg. from Model 1914 Military w/ 1916 chamber date & appropriate receiver proofs. Matching numbered components include receiver, sear, safety lever, safety bar, hold open latch, toggle assembly (unnumbered firing pin) & right grip; left w/ “L" & "S”. Trigger takedown latch & sideplate are not numbered. All blued finish w/out straw parts or in the white interior. Walnut forend w/ carved basket weave pattern retained by 2 aluminum pins. Front area of forend cross drilled for sling plus slot in right side of rear appearing from band latch spring as found on military rifles. Carved buttstock w/ continued basket weave design & raised cheekpiece on each side of stock. Stippled butt area w/ “L” remaining. 2 screw iron numbered “8741i”. MAGS: good blued 8 rd. w/ aluminum base marked “1087i” & “Eagle 63”. CONDITION: good overall appearance as reblued except sideplate has gray parkerized appearance; tip of trigger lever broken but functions okay. Left grip w/ chip by safety; balance having good appearance. Right grip w/ considerable hand wear but no damage. Stock set of good hobbyist quality w/ minor handling marks. Attachment iron all blued w/ good fit & patina tone. Near excellent bore. PROVENANCE: Estate Collection of Jack Verret Sr. (22-859/NW). CURIO. $500-750.
