Cal. 9mm Luger. S# 1862b. Bbl. 4" w/ fin shaped sight blade. Chamber dated 1914; 140,000 units in S# 80 to 7060q. All matching numbers including grips which also have Gothic "S" (not very clear on right) plus appropriate internal areas in the white. Front strap marked "174.R.12.4" indicating 174th Regiment, Reserve Cavalry, 12th Company & 4th firearm. Correct period receiver proofs. MAGS: 2 very good tin plated 8 rd. w/ wood bases; gloss unmarked & oiled w/ "2119k +". UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: fair to good holster w/ buckle & strap retention. 1 Belt loop broken at top plus much of tool pouch separated w/ broken flap. Balance of holster is well used but undamaged; no markings. CONDITION: very good example that appears original finish having especially clear markings & proofs. Strawed parts are very faint w/ ejector being best appearing; those items showing on left side of pistol have gray tone whereas right side straw is faded only. Occasional faint pitting being mostly on sideplate. Very good finish w/ typical high point wear caused by holstering. Minimal wear on fine checkered grips & near excellent bore. Very nice example of Luger. (21-2575/NW). CURIO. $1,200-1,800.
