PISTOL WITH HOLSTER. Cal. 30 Luger. S# 7508p. Bbl. 3 3/4". Model 1920 Commercial Luger mfg. by DWM after World War I from a combination of surplus and newly produced parts and components for commercial sales abroad. The toggle is marked with the intertwined "DWM" monogram, with a Crown/N commercial nitro proof present on the left side of the barrel extension and breechblock, as well as on the underside of the bbl. Right side of frame is marked with a partially legible "GERMANY" stamp, just above the top of the grip panel. Major metal components exhibit a rust blued finish, with some smaller components being strawed or nitre blued. Frame is mounted with 2 piece checkered wood grips. Front sight has been replaced with a brass blade sight. Matching numbers are present on the frame, sideplate, trigger, bbl., and rear toggle link. Hold open latch is not present. Receiver axle pin exhibits a loss to its rim. MAGS: 1-8rd. wood bottom mag. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: period brown leather holster marked "G.J. Ensink & Co./ OHRDRUF" on the rear. Loading tool's closure stud is not present. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their original factory applied blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning, as well as scattered spots of pitting and oxidation overall. Strawed components exhibit wear and thinning, with areas of age related discoloration. Mirror bore, exhibiting a couple spots of pitting and retaining strong rifling throughout. Grips show smoothing and some scattered marks and minor impressions from storage and handling, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable.
