'Luger' Pre-WWI German military toggle locked recoil operated semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum, manufactured circa 1912, with double date of 1912 and 1920 (Weimar Era). Features a 4" barrel, dovetailed inverted 'V' front sight, 'v' notched rear sight, smooth crescent trigger, knurled charging knobs on the rear toggle link, manual safety of the left side of the frame, push button magazine release, 8 round magazine with wood base, steel frame with lanyard loop, stock lug has been ground off, and checkered wood grips. All observed numbers match. Other markings include "8.84" under barrel, "GESICHERT" on frame near safety, "DWM" on rear toggle, "U" and "F" and imperial eagle proofs on right side of barrel extension. Bore is good condition, mostly bright with sharp rifling, dark from faint even pitting in grooves, ring of light pitting mid-bore. Pistol retains 90% refinished blue with some observed pits and other blemishes under metal, smooth even refinish at location where stock lug was originally located. Straw finished parts display darker yellow straw color with some transitions to pale blue. Wood magazine plug numbered to gun. Spare magazine has un-numbered wood base plug, bare metal body with light thin patina brown spots throughout. Includes good condition black leather soft shell full flap holster, magazine loading tool. Condition is NRA Very Good++ (as reworked) *** C&R Firearm ***
