American made semi-automatic centerfire modern sporting rifle chambered for 6.5 Creedmoor, and manufactured in Huntsville, AL. The DPMS LR-308 was introduced in 2005. The receiver is marked .308 Winchester, while the barrel is marked 6.5 Creedmoor. Rifle features a matte black anodized aluminum finish, flat-top picatinny upper receiver, a 20" CrMoV barrel with a 1:8" twist rate, low-profile gas block, five port muzzle brake, 15" free-float M-Lok handguard with 2-1/2" picatinny rail sections on the top, smooth curved single-stage trigger, integral trigger guard, serrated paddle bolt release, spring loaded dust cover, annular cut push-button magazine release, beveled magazine well, annular cut bolt assist, standard charging handle, serrated receiver mounted manual safety, staked gas key, standard buffer and recoil spring, six-position receiver extension, and an ATI M4 style adjustable butt stock. The original matte black anodized finish retained is approximately 93% with edge wear, handling blemishes, contact wear on the receiver below the charging handle, and some material transfers. Metal displays no rust, but there is a small dent on the rear right side of the handguard. There is some gouging on the inside of the receiver at the extension threads (threads are fine). The action is smooth and crisp, and the bore is bright with strong rifling. The synthetic pistol grip and stock are in excellent condition with little to speak of. The handguards are missing two screws, the buffer detent is utilizing the wrong spring, and the receiver extension needs to be replaced (cross threaded). Rifle includes one magazine total.
Condition is NRA Poor to Fair.
