Dutch Military Hemburg Model 1873 New Model Double Action Revolver, #C392, 9.4mm cal., 6-3/8'' barrel, blue finish, smooth walnut grips, lanyard ring, integral blade front sight and ''U''-notched rear sight. Small diamond-shaped pattern of checkering has been added to the right grip. All visibly numbered parts are matching, both grips are also numbered and match the revolver. Right side of frame is marked ''Hemburg'', ''1910'', and ''116''; with several ''(crown)/E'' proof marks throughout. These revolvers are somewhat scarce and this particular example is in very good condition and shows normal signs of service use. Approx. 75%-80% original toning blue finish remains with specks of mild oxidation, areas of finish loss with brown patina. Factory lettering, proof marks, etc. are legible and clear. Front and back strap with spots of concentrated rub marks and wear; sides, underneath the grips with light surface rust and pitting. There has been a dab of silver solder added to the back of the lanyard ring to hold it in place, completely concealed when the grips are in place. Grips fit well and show age and wear that is consistent with the rest of the revolver, including general moderate handling marks. Action is smooth and locks up fine; bore is clean with scattered spots of mild erosion, rifling is defined with distinct lands and grooves. Est.: $600-$900. (C&R/PPT)
