SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 Ga. S# 21553 (1951). The 28" VR bbls. are marked w/ Browning's St. Louis address as well as patents, chamber information & "MADE IN BELGIUM" on top bbl. Left side of breech is marked for Mod & Full chokes. Blued Superposed action features blued SST. Action is engraved w/ some flourishes of scroll w/ in scroll borders. Bottom is marked "BrowninG". Long tang rnd. knob buttstock of lightly marbled European walnut measures 14" over brown White Line open sided pad. Point pattern checkering is at grip. Field forend w/ usual Browning latch, matches well. MEASUREMENTS: BARRELS: BORE DIAMETER: Over .724", Under .727". RESTRICTION: Over .012" (Mod), Under .017" (Mod). STOCK: LOP: 14". DAC: 1 5/8". DAH: 2 5/16". No cast. WEIGHT: 7 lbs. 9 oz. CONDITION: good as refinished. Bbls. retaining most of an old reblack. Action retaining about 30% of an old reblue. Stocks retain perhaps 50% of what appears to be their original varnish w/ some added newer oil. Checkering considerably worn & dirty. Pad is relatively new. Bores are shiny. Action is a bit loose. Rear portion of rib has been drilled & tapped, holes presently filled w/ plug screws. A sling loop has been removed from toeline of buttstock. Mechanically good. (21-3733/MGM). CURIO. $700-1,000.
