GUN WITH EXTRA BARRELS. Cal. 12 Ga., 2 3/4". S# 97765. Bbl. set "1" (stamped on rear lump) are chopperlump & measure 28 3/8". Bbl. set "2" measures 25 5/8". Both sets are engraved w/ maker's name & address on tops & have matted game ribs. Bbl. flats are both stamped w/ Spanish proofs for 2 3/4" chambers. Bbl. set "1" has proof date of 1950 while bbl. set "2" dates to 1967. Coin finished sidelock action features automatic safety, hidden third fastener, bushed strikers, side clips, gold band tumbler end cocking indicators & dbl. triggers (front articulated). Action is engraved w/ what appears to be Model 8 style British style rose & scroll. Fences are not relief engraved & instead are engraved w/ more rose bouquets. Maker's name & address are on bottom of action. Beaded right hand trigger guard is also scroll engraved. Very nicely marbled & figured European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14 1/4" over very thin red rifle pad. Stock features drop points, point pattern checkering on diamond hand & a large gold oval on toeline engraved "E". Matching broad splinter forend has forward hinged lever release w/ spring tension internals, as is sometimes found on Sarasqueta guns made for heavy loads which also acts as an easy-opening device. MEASUREMENTS: BBL. SET 1: Bore Diameter: R .724", L .724". Restriction: R .022" (MOD), L .035" (FULL). Min. Wall Thickness: R .040", L .036". BBL. SET 2: Bore Diameter: R .723", L .722". Restriction: R .004" (IC), L .014" (MOD). Min. Wall Thickness: R .029", L .026". STOCKS WITH BBL. SET 1: DAH: 2 1/2". DAC: 1 5/8". LOP: 14 1/4". CAST: approx. 1/4" on. WEIGHT: 7 lb. 10 oz. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: extra bbl. set. CONDITION: fine as refurbished, most likely by factory when later bbls. were fitted. Both bbl. sets retaining about 90% blue, bbl. set "1" being reblued. Action lightly cleaned to enhance coin finish. Top lever is silvered on thumbpiece. Forend iron is silver around bottom & trigger guard is heavily silvered at grip. Stocks retain most of an oil refinish w/ some scattered light subsequent marks, checkering lightly worn. Bores are bright & shiny. Bbl. set "2" w/ some light frosting (may clean). Action is tight.
