EARLY BRNO MODEL 21H CARBINE WITH SCOPE.

Cal. 7x57. S# 22228. Bbl. 20 1/2". This rifle has proof date of 1948 & was made just prior to the introduction of the later grooved receiver. Bbl. fitted w/ iron sights which are original. All factory markings are at rear. Sm. ring Model 98 type action has BRNO markings on left solid side wall & roll checkered receiver ring. Leupold ERA type QD scope bases are fitted w/ associated drilling & tapping. Unnumbered bolt has had butter knife type handle added. Shroud is correct, low profile type w/ safety on left side. Bottom metal has button removable floorplate, dbl. set triggers & separate steel trigger guard. Relatively plain European walnut full stock features later hard rubber buttplate, right hand cheekpiece, steel muzzle cap, checkering at grip & forend. Carbine type sling loops are present. Leupold VX-III 2.5-8X scope w/ screw in front lens cover has duplex reticle & is in Leupold ERA type QD rings (rear w/ windage adj.) CONDITION: metal parts retaining over 90% original blue w/ some high edge wear. Newer bolt handle somewhat distorted. Stock has glossy varnish refinish; buttplate replaced. Shiny bore, mechanically good. Scope is very fine. Near new, optically clear. (21-2759/MGM). CURIO. $900-1,800.
