Cal. 12 Ga. 2 3/4". S# 104054. The 28" bbls. are marked "Hunter Arms Co. Fulton, N.Y." on rear portion of flat matted rib set w/ 2 white beads. Bbl. flats are stamped w/ S#, grade number & Hunter proofs. Typical regular frame action w/ correct numbers on water table is fitted w/ automatic safety & dbl. triggers & is engraved w/ some sprays of scroll & line borders. Lockplates engraved "L. C. Smith" have about 50% coverage scroll surrounding circular vignettes of game birds. Quail on left, woodcock on right. Serial number is on blued trigger guard tang. Good quality replacement capped pistolgrip buttstock of nicely figured attractive American walnut measures 14 1/4" over ribbed buttplate. Point pattern checkering wraps over top of grip. Replaced forend wood matches well. Forend has usual J-spring release. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter: R .725", L .726" . Restriction: R .012" (MOD), L .029" (FULL). Min. Wall Thickness: R .028", L .029". STOCK: DAH: 2 1/2". DAC: 1 1/2". LOP: 14 1/4". CAST: neutral. WEIGHT: 7 lb. 10 oz. CONDITION: good as refurbished. Bbls. retain most of an old reblack over old spotting & light scratches. Action w/ traces of original case hardening color, shows light cleaning to silver gray w/ some dark spotting. Good quality newly made stocks retain nearly all of their original finish. Checkering is of factory quality & remains sharp & clear. Bores are fine, showing some very light frosting in right bbl., without noted dents or repairs. Action is tight. Mechanically good except for welded repair to forend iron in front of extractor dog.
