EARLY US POWDER FLASKS & BULLET MOLDS.
1) POWDER FLASK. A good example of a Peace flask w/ standard decoration including an eagle, clasped hands & a spray of arms. The charger is marked, “BATTY 1847”. CONDITION: flask has a deep rich patina w/ a few shallow dents in the body. Charger spring is weak but does function. (02-14770/BF). 2) BULLET MOLD. A brass bullet mold for casting an oblong picket bullet of about .40 cal. A scissor type mold w/ no sprue cutter. CONDITION: mold shows light to moderate wear & functions well. (02-14773/BF). 3) BULLET MOLD. A 2 cavity bullet mold casting a rnd. ball & mini ball for a Colt Brevete pistol. A hinged brass mold w/ iron sprue cutter. Mold is marked, “COLT _REVETE 13506” & “RF”. CONDITION: mold shows light to moderate wear & functions well. (02-14774/BF). 4) POWDER FLASK. A sm. pistol flask w/ a leather covered metal body & brass charger. Flask measures 3 3/4" in height. Charger is marked, “DIXON & SONS SHEFFIELD”. Flask measures 3 3/4" in height. CONDITION: flask shows light wear overall. Charger spring does not function. (02-14776/BF). 5) POWDER FLASK. A sm. pistol flask measuring 4 5/8" in height commonly associated w/ Colt pistols. Flask is decorated w/ American eagle w/ 13 stars above & crossed pistols below. The base has a ribbon that reads, “E PLURIBUS UNUM”. CONDITION: flask body has 3 moderate dents. Charger spring functions well. (02-14777/BF). $600-800.
