HARTFORD REVOLVER. Cal. 36. S# 98023. Bbl. 7 1/2". This is a standard Colt Navy revolver w/ one line Hartford address made in 1861 where many guns in this serial range were shipped south. This is an honest survivor w/ a well fit tooled Slim Jim holster. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: accompanying holster is sound & well fit complete w/ closure tab. CONDITION: good overall, appears all original & matching other than replaced wedge screw. Iron has dark mottled gray patina w/ pitting. Brass cleaned w/ light mustard color & traces of silver. Original silver plate. Grips are sound & well fit w/ traces of original factory varnish. Mechanically functional, though mainspring is weak. Good, rifled pitted bore.
