PISTOL & HOLSTER. Cal. 9mm Luger. S# 9153a. Bbl. 4" numbered 8600 w/ fin shaped sight. Assembled from parts rather than Erfurt rework model; no rework marks or dates. Receiver is 42 dated Mauser Banner Police model numbered 8600. Erfurt toggle assembly numbered 58; no firing pin S# & rear toggle number removed but w/ proper proofs. Rear toggle pivot numbered 58; no other numbered parts. Checkered walnut grips w/out back marks. MAGS: 1 fair (oxidation & patina) blued 8 rd. w/ portions of "MEXICO" on number area of loose fitting aluminum base. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: fair to good brown flap holster w/ buckle & strap retention; prior stitch marks of another closure method plus similar appearance on back between dbl. belt loops. Tool pouch under flap partially separated. Light scuffs throughout but still very useable. Under flap stamped "HDW.KAMMER" / "DARMSTEAD" / "1918" / "286". CONDITION: fair overall w/ poor minimal finish having finish loss, pitting, area of grind marks by rear toggle pivot head & pipe wrench bbl. marks along w/ slight receiver marks from attempted bbl. removal. Fair left grip w/ noticeable wear plus crack at bottom; right poor w/ minimal checkering & chip at lower front. Only faint traces of straw colors. Fair bore w/ wear & pitting. On a positive note, it hand functions fine. PROVENANCE: Estate Collection of Jack Verret Sr. (22-862/NW). CURIO. $500-700.
