RUSSIAN SINGLE ACTION REVOLVER. Cal. 44 S&W Russian. S# 41495. Bbl. 6 1/2" rnd. w/ rib & integral semi-circular front sight. Bbl. address ends w/ "AUGUST 24, 69" date & "RUSSIAN MODEL" marking. Top strap has tiny marking "REISSUE / JULY 25, 1871". Six shot fluted cyl. Top break action w/ spurred triggerguard & humpback grip strap. Nickel finish w/ case colored hammer & triggerguard. Left side of frame has rectangular box marked "1874". Back of cyl., bbl., bbl. latch & inside of grip frame are marked w/ assembly number "237C". Butt of grip above S# has diamond marked "SH". Rnd. butt style 2 piece walnut grips w/ lanyard ring at butt. Inside of right grip panel has matching S#. Approx. 13,500 of about 60,638 total were commercial models. CONDITION: extremely fine, over 97% nickel finish showing light marks & cyl. drag line. Hammer retains over 90% bright case colors. Triggerguard retains 70% light & fading case colors.
