SIDELOCK EJECTOR DOUBLE TRIGGER GAMEGUN, MOST LIKELY BY JULES BURY. Cal. 12 Ga., 2 3/4". S# 882 (1968). The 27 5/8" dovetailed bbls. with slightly raised matted rib are unmarked on tops and sides. Bbl. flats are stamped with 1968 Belgian Nitro proofs for 2 3/4" chambers. Bottoms of bbls. are marked with steel type and actual maker's initials "JB"? (Jules Bury). Coin finished sidelock action features nonautomatic safety, bushed strikers, hidden third fastener, raised rib tumbler end cocking indicators and double triggers (front articulated). Action is very nicely filed. Engraving consists of full coverage exceptionally well cut varying size shaded scroll within medium scroll borders. Engraver's signature "H. MATIVA" is on trigger plate. Scroll engraving extends to trigger guard bow and tang. Straight grip buttstock of nicely watermarked French walnut measuring 14 7/8" over checkered wood butt. Very well cut closely spaced point pattern checkering with mullered borders is at grip. Matching splinter ejector forend has Anson release. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter: R .725", L .722". Restriction: R .010" (IC), L .024" (MOD). Min. Wall Thickness: R .021", L .028". STOCK: DAH: 2 3/16". DAC: 1 7/16". LOP: 14 7/8". CAST: approx. 1/8" off. WEIGHT: 6 lb. 12 oz. CONDITION: exceptionally fine with scant evidence of any use. Very faint firing halos are on breechface and only a few minor handling marks in all metal finishes and a couple of minor dents are in wood. Bores are bright and shiny. Mechanically crisp.
