CIGARETTE TRADING CARDS.
This is a huge & varied lot of trading cards including:
1) 188 Indian Gum Trading cards by Goudey Gum Company of Boston, Massachusetts. The cards depict various Native Americans, cowboys & soldiers. There is some duplication but the vast majority of cards are different.
2) 40 Hassan cork tipped cigarettes, The Oriental Smoke cards from the “Indian Life in the 60’s” series. The cards depict Native Americans in various scenes showing the daily life in an Indian village.
3) 27 Hassan cork tipped cigarettes, The Oriental Smoke cards from the “Cowboy Series”. Cards depict western cowboys mostly on horseback engaging in ranching activities.
4) 60 Wild West Picture Card Gum cards by Bowman Gum Inc. of Philadelphia. Cards are dated 1949. The cards depict Indian customs, famous characters, law & order, winning the west, Indian warfare & other scenes.
5) 32 Wild Man Picture cards from Bowman Gum Inc. of Philadelphia. Cards are dated 1950. The cards depict various scenes from history. Each card reads on the reverse, “Man’s past is stained with blood; his future can be bright with promise - if in the present he will wage peace”.
6) 9 Superman cards by National Periodical Publications. Cards are dated 1965 & depict various scenes from the Superman television show.
7) 6 Cards from a Presidential series w/ no mfg. on the reverse. Cards include Cleveland, Grant, Lincoln, Wilson, T. Roosevelt & McKinley.
8) 35 Hopalong Cassidy cards by William Boyd. Cards are dated 1950. Cards depict various scenes from the Hopalong Cassidy television show.
9) 8 Cards by T. C. G. titled, “Bring ‘Em Back Alive”. Cards depict what appear to be safari scenes from the African continent.
10) 1 Card from a series called, “Jets Rockets Spacemen” by Bowman Gum Inc.
11) 46 Cards by T. C. G. from a series entitled, “Look ‘n See”. Cards appear to depict famous people most of who seem to be American.
12) 8 Miscellaneous cards from various mfg. depicting Wild West & Indian scenes.
13) 8 Cigarette cards depicting various famous female actresses. Most cards are by Sweet Caporal.
CONDITION: as expected, cards vary in condition from near mint to heavily worn. Cards are housed in plastic pages designed to hold collector cards.
