64 DELUXE RIFLE, PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS, BOOK AND TABLE COVER. Herb Parsons began his career as a regional salesman for Winchester in 1930. By 1935 he had became a full time exhibition shooter for Winchester. He continued to thrill audiences until his untimely death in 1959. His M64 is cal. 30 WCF (30-30). S#. 1117903. Bbl. 24" tapered round. Ramp mounted bead front sight with sporting rear sight. 2/3 length mag. Blue finish. Semi beavertail forend and hard rubber capped pistol grip stock checkered walnut stock with Super Grade swivel bases and checkered steel buttplate. 1940 mfg. UNATTACHED ACCESORIES: Blue cloth cover for 7'x30" table. Stitched yellow lettering proclaims "HERB PARSONS / SHOOTING". "Western-WINCHESTER / Guns and Ammunition" in red lettering displayed on table front & end flaps. 2 Framed event posters with Parson's photo. The large, 24"x18" pictures a selection of firearms with a M64 that could be this rifle. The smaller is 18"x9". Also included are 11 photos of Parsons or celebrities, letter, promotional materials, a box of Super X 28 ga. shotshells and a copy of the book "Showman Shooter The Life and Times of Herb Parsons". 1 full red & yellow box Winchester Silvertip Super Speed 30-30 w/ 150 grain expanding bullets. CONDITION: All original rifle retaining 80% blue showing scratches with wear spots on the action. Original wood finish shows numerous small dents, handling marks and wear spots .Mechanically sound.
