RIFLE. Cal. 308. S# 41-060288. Bbl. 17.7" with factory flash hider. This is one of very few rifles that were manufactured in 1988 with a factory camoflauge pattern covering all external surfaces, other than the barrel and sights. Receivers, magazine, and even furniture wear this green, black, and brown pattern. It has been published that only 300 of these were ever offered, and that was over 35 years ago, leading to their rarity today. Factory 4-position drum-style rear sight assembly. Hooded post front sight. Push-button mag. release with a 0-1 metal clip on the trigger housing. Magwell right side marked, "Made in W-Germany / HK Chantilly. Va". Left side magwell is marked "HK 91, 41-060288" / Cal. 7.62x51" with the proof codes: eagle, II, and antler, signifying 1988 manufacture. MAGS: 1 camoflauge steel 20 rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: green canvas sling and factory paperwork. CONDITION: all aspects indicate this gun is as-new and unfired. Rifle and factory accessories still reside in the original styrofoam-fitted packaging in a brown cardboard box, as shipped from H&K. Woodland camoflauge finish coverage is complete and consistent, with no thinning, even in areas of mechanical intervention. Bore is bright with strong rifling. Fire control mechanism appears to function correctly when cycled by hand. (24-1473/JZ). MODERN. $10,000-15,000.
