Early 20th Century U.S.Fraternal Sword, with original belt, hangers, and leather case. Knight's head pommel, faux ivory composite grip nicely decorated, crossguard with enameled cross, and decorative scabbard fittings. Blade is etched engraved with floral designs and knight's on horseback. Sword scabbard, blade, and case are named to ''Wellington B. Bray''. Blade is maker marked at the ricasso by the C.E. Ward Co. of New London, Ohio. Condition is good overall with bright blade showing some light age. Scabbard fittings show some age and losses to the bright gold finish. Overall length is 36'' with a blade length of 28''. Belt shows age and cracking to the leather, with the gold bullion overlay coming unstitched. Brass buckle with gilt finish. Leather case is split at the seams and shows much age. Est.: $150-$250/lot.
