Early European broadsword constructed of the period and Victorian elements. The blade measures 32” and 39” overall. The blade was most likely 36” originally and reduced with tip rounded at the period of use. The blade measures over 2” at thewidest part and shows hand cut blood grooves and is definitely 16 to early 17th century. The guard is hand forged and though close “Not quite”. The pommel is the correct construction and style. In conclusion a far better than average earlyEuropean sword that at worst was a Victorian marriage of mostly period element. At best homogeneous.
