Early Marlin Golden 39-A Lever Action Rifle, #T25219, .22 S-L-LR cal., 24'' micro-grooved ''JM'' marked barrel, blue finish, hooded brass bead front sight, standard elevator rear sight, gold-plated trigger, and ''JM'' marked hammer extension. Oil-finished pistol-grip walnut stock with fluted comb, black composite Marlin buttplate, and sling swivels. Topped with a Bushnell ''Custom .22'' 3x-7x scope on a one-piece base; scope with a fine cross hair reticle. Mfg'd 1960. Approx. 96% original finish remains and metal surfaces rate as very good overall; receiver with a few shallow scratches; top of barrel around the rear sight and magazine tube with tiny specks of surface rust, most should clean up fairly easily. Factory lettering is clear and well defined. Wood is really nice for its age showing minimal handling marks, most noticeable being a small surface ding to the right side of the forend and some very shallow marks to the buttstock; wood fits tight at the adjoining metal surfaces. Crisp action with an excellent bore. Scope is also excellent with a few small scratches to the exterior, optics are clear. Est.: $400-$600. (C&R)
