Early Parker Trojan Side-by-Side Shotgun, #168285, 12 ga., 30'' Trojan Steel barrels with early production small rib extension, typical Parker ''U''-shaped barrel rib, blued finish, automatic safety, double triggers, checkered walnut stock and forend, and ventilated rubber recoil pad. No. 2 size frame, with matching numbers on barrels and forend metal. Length of pull is 13.75'' with 12.75'' original wood to front trigger. Condition is fair, with a badly broken and poorly repaired stock. Stock has been broken at the wrist, pinned, with cracks running to the rear of the receiver. There is an extra screw added to the trigger guard to reinforce the grip. There is movement to the joint, so further repairs are warranted. Barrels have bright shiny bores, with a few minor dings in the right barrel. Blued original finish is thinning with heavy wear around the forend area, light rust patina in spots, scuffs, and scratches. Receiver has lost most all of its case colored finish, with only traces left in some protected areas. Trigger guard is mostly brown on top with wear to shiny at the wrist. Stock is broken as described above and also has some minor scratches, light depressions, and small gouges. The forend wood is in very good condition, showing light use, and a few small dings. Barrel condition and tight action lock up, makes this a project worth restoring for more years in the field. Est.: $300-$500. (C&R)
