Early Smith & Wesson 1st Model Hand Ejector Triplelock Double Action Revolver, #4290, .44 Spec. cal., 6.5'' barrel, nickel finish, factory large diamond checkered walnut grips with S&W medallions, with standard grooved sighting plane. Shipped from the factory on Feb. 7, 1910, to Schoverling Daly & Gale Co., NYC, NY, with factory letter signed by S&W Historian Roy G Jinks. Condition is near fine retaining approx. 80% factory nickel finish, with most of the losses just beneath the cylinder latch. Unnumbered factory grips fit well showing mild thinning to checks and several small losses to right panel at backstrap. Crisp action, good bore. Est.: $2,500-$3,500. (C&R/PPT)
