There is no rear sight. A noske 4x scope is mounted to the barrel via two dovetail slots. The scope was refinished. The glass is a bit foggy, the scope rates in fair condition. grip/stock configuration & condition: the refinished furniture is two piece wood with a straight comb, semi-pistol grip, smooth forend, and a smooth metal buttplate. The buttplate has only a coupled small scratches. The furniture shows a few minor pressure dings and some old blemishes under the current finish. The lop measures 13. 25" from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The stock has a little play. There are no chips or cracks. The furniture rates in very good plus condition. type of finish: bluedfinish originality: refinishedbore condition: the bore is mostly bright and the rifling is sharp. Some of the compound used to refinish the gun discolored the bore closest to the muzzle. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9/10. overall condition: this rifle retains about 98% of its nonoriginal metal finish. The finish shows only light edge wear and a few minor scratches. The screw heads are unmarred and retain turnable slots. The markings are clear and complete. Overall, this rifle rates in very good plus condition. mechanics: the action functions correctly.
