Wilderness Mint emerald green stone set in rhinestones and sterling silver.

Mt. St. Helens, located in Washington state, erupted in 1980 with the explosive force of 500 atomic bombs. Thirteen hundred feet of earth was blown from the top of the mountain, sending a cloud of ash and smoke more than 60,000 feet in the air.

This beautiful Mt. St. Helens jewelry piece, also called Helenite, is made from volcanic material. A silica similar to obsidian is fused at 2700 degrees to expose the mineral content, a natural color of the evergreen forest. The stones are then hand cut and placed in sterling silver.
