SN: 594h British military magazine fed bolt action service rifle chambered in .303 British. Manufactured circa 1894. Features a blued finish, 30.2" barrel, ramped blade front sight with Alex Martin cover, graduated rear sight to 1900yds, volley sights, single barrel band, metal forend cap with bayonet lug and cleaning rod, serrated trigger, detachable magazine, magazine cut off on the right side of the receiver, dust cover and manual safety on the bolt, white leather sling, smooth wood hand guard, full length forend, and straight grip shoulder stock with brass trapdoor buttplate. The right side of the butt socket is marked '[crown]/VR/Enfield/1894/II' and the buttplate is marked 'N[broad arrow]Z/6770/E14'. The barrel is marked 'BSA' over the chamber, has been nitro proofed. Barrel and receiver are stamped with the Union of South Africa proof. Rifle retains a nice blued finish on the receiver while the rest of the rifle displays a mostly brown patina. Action is smooth, bore shows a little remaining rifling, and the wood stock is good with many blemishes. Condition is NRA Good ***Antique Firearm*** From The John F Sukey Collection
