Engraved Belgian Browning BAR Grade IV Magnum Semi-Automatic Rifle, #437RP02284, 7mm Rem. Mag. cal., 24" blue barrel, French gray receiver with panel engraved game scenes on two sides. Deluxe checkered exhibition grade walnut forend and pistol grip stock with French gray sling swivel studs, blued sling swivels, padded nylon rifle sling, ending with a solid rubber recoil pad, providing a 13.75" LOP to the gold-colored trigger. There is no provision for sights. Factory lettering and engraving are crisp, marked "MADE IN BELGIUM" on the left side of the barrel. The French Grey receiver is expertly engraved with panel scenes depicting big game on two sides, depicting a pair of moose on the left, and elk on the right. Bottom of the left panel is marked, "JBAGUE" indicating the engraving was done by Jean Marie Bague, well known master engraver for Browning in Belgium. Topped with a Redfield one-piece mount, rings, and Leupold VARI-X II scope, with gloss black finish, and duplex reticle. Scope is in excellent overall condition, with a few light marks to the exterior; optics are bright and clear. Rifle is in excellent overall condition, retaining approx. 98%-99% factory finish, showing minor handling marks. Stock is in excellent condition, with a couple small indentations on the left side of the forend; displaying outstanding, ornate checkering and attractive fiddleback figure in the buttstock. Action is crisp and functions smoothly. Bore is bright with excellent rifling. Est.: $3,000-$4,000. (Modern)
