The paterson represents samuel colt's first successful revolver system, and the texas paterson pattern carries strong historical appeal because of its association with the early republic of texas era and colt's emergence as a major american arms maker. This example, with its folding trigger, octagon barrel, loading lever, and classic percussion system, offers the look and mechanical character of a highly significant 19th-century colt. It is embellished with factory engraving and gold bands on the barrel and cylinder. this revolver presents in like new condition and appears unfired, with a bright 10/10 bore, excellent grips, sharp markings, and about 99% of its original finish remaining. The included gray colt box adds nicely to its collector appeal.
