Anatolia, Turkey, Ottoman Empire late 18th or early 19th century. Massive Islamic silver wire inlaid flintlock cavalry pistol. Heavily silver wire inlay throughout the stock with gilt brass floral pedals and motifs. Gilt brass mounted throughout with raised decoration of Ottoman motifs. Short handle with extremely long octagonal barrel. Original ramrod. Excellent Damascus steel barrel and flintlock mechanism with heavy thick silver ottoman motifs inlaid. Size 24 1/2" L, barrel 18" L. Condition: Some looseness to minor inlays or light losses. Good overall with wear commensurate to age and use.. Provenance: Ex-Private USA Collection
