German military WWI era semiautomatic pistol dated 1918. Features re-blued finish, checkered wood grips, 4" barrel, fixed sights, manual safety, push button magazine release, lanyard bar, stock bolt on heel. Bore is mostly very good condition with visible tiny pits throughout. Refinished in a dark deep bluing, color looks about right, some brownish tones in the bluing, sideplate color is a bit different, 80% remaining, visible tiny pits and other surface blemishes to the steel under the finish, some light patina, edge losses and rubbing wear. Grips are good condition with smoothing from use, tight to the frame. Trigger is blued, no numbers observed. Takedown latch retains traces of straw color, showing more patina. Observed numbers match most places where observed, sideplate marked "S/42" without serial numbering. Markings include imperial era eagles and crowns. No importer marks observed. Markings are readable, show light erosion. Includes black leather hard shell full flap holster, fair condition leather, good condition stitching, Waffenamt 136 mark on back, tool in pouch in flap, two magazines. One magazine is now mostly patina brown, traces of nickel, no markings, wood plug. Other mag has much more dull nickel finish, little patina, wood plug with some losses to wood on left side.
