Iberian Peninsula, Catalonia, town of Ripoll. Fantastic very large Trabuco Spanish-Mexican miquelet flintlock blunderbuss pistol of the 18th century. Stock with refinishing in a blonde and brown color. Large panels of gilt brass to the classic (Catalan) butt. Engraved to gilt brass trigger stock plate with steel trigger guard. Octagonal to round large bore barrel with a flared blunderbuss muzzle. Lock with engraving of foliate motifs. Original side plate belt hook. Barrel with touch mark of size letters under the crown with the lower letters reading LAS?. Size 14" L, barrel 8" L. Condition: very good condition and state of preservation. The highest bidder as determined by the auction house shall be responsible to pay for the hammer, buyer's premium and any applicable sales tax. Ownership of lots shall not be transitioned to the respective winning bidder until the auction house is satisfied with all funds being transferred and cleared to the auction house's account. All sales are final. Buyers have 10 days to arrange for removal of lots from the auction houses facility. After 10 days the auction house reserves the right to charge a $5 storage fee for each additional day until the lots have been removed. The auction house reserves the right to relist and sell any lots which have accrued a storage fee larger than the hammer plus buyer's premium total for a given lot. Shipping and safe delivery of the lots is the buyer's responsibility. The auction house reserves the right to update or remove any lot listed at the auction house's discretion.
