Exceptional Smith & Wesson .45 Hand Ejector Model of 1950 Army (Pre-Model 22) Double Action Revolver, #S90329, .45 ACP cal., 5-1/2" barrel, blue finish, checkered diamond center walnut Magna grips with S&W medallions, round blade front sight, standard notched rear sight, with color case hardened hammer and trigger. Frame and yoke with matching assembly numbers (3424). Barrel, cylinder, extractor, and back of right grip are numbered to the gun. Shipped to Charles Greenblatt & Co., New York City, NY., May 15, 1952; with factory letter signed by S&W Historian Roy G. Jinks. Letter does not specify any of the revolver's features. In two-piece maroon box, bottom is numbered in black grease pencil and matches the revolver. Condition is excellent retaining approx. 99% blue. There is a spot of minor muzzle wear to the right side of the barrel. Factory lettering is clear. Portion of the cylinder with only a very faint index line. Case colors are strong. Grips with a few light handling marks, checkering is crisp. Action cycles smoothly and locks up securely. Excellent bore, bright with well-defined rifling. Box shows scattered scuffs and scratches, and the end label is primarily clear with a small piece missing from one of the lower corners.
